How do I assemble my Ally?

The Ally will have been delivered to you in three components: The button itself, a backing plate and a double sided adhesive strip. You can attach the backing plate and the button together using the adhesive strip. This will create a keychain for your Ally so you can attach to your keyring. 

Alternatively you can attach the adhesive strip to Ally to adhere the button to almost any surface, this could include a wall, shower, bedside table, etc..

How do I pair my Ally to my phone?

Your Ally Bluetooth Button will automatically connect to your Companion App, all you need to do is enable bluetooth on your smartphone. If you wish to test the connection you can do so by double clicking your Ally button to raise an alarm on your App.

Why does someone else’s phone go into alarm when I activate my Ally?

Ally automatically connects to all smartphones with the Companion App and bluetooth enabled. Therefore if an SOS is set off using your Ally then all phones running Companion within a 30m radius will also send an SOS for added resilience.

Is there a user guide to setting up Ally?

How do I recharge my Ally?

One of the main benefits of Ally is that it is a hassle free device with no need to charge, Ally’s inbuilt battery has an impressive lifespan of 18months.

How long will my Ally’s battery last?

The Ally has a battery life of 18months. This is the anticipated battery life based on typical lone worker application and can increase or decrease depending on usage.

How do I connect my Ally to my phone?

Ally will automatically connect to your Companion App straight out of the box, all you need to do is enable bluetooth and make sure the Companion App is running on your smartphone .

How do I use my Ally?

Ally is very simple to use, just double press the button to activate an SOS alarm.

Where is the button on the Ally?

The button for SOS activation is positioned on the angled half of the device, if you press each side of the device you should hear the clicking of the button itself. 

My phone keeps asking me to confirm which SIM I wish to use?

Varies from phone to phone, but typically, Go to the phone settings:

  1. Select SIM Card settings.
  2. In the new page click on Message or Call settings.
  3. In the Popup 3 options will be available, always use SIM 1, Always use SIM 2 and Ask every time,

Otherwise, contact your phone provider to learn how to set a default SIM for calls.

My phone keeps asking me to confirm which app to use for the SOS call?

Android – Go to the Settings app, then tap Apps. Next, tap the Gear icon in the upper right corner, then tap Default Apps. Here you can set a new default phone app.

I think my Ally is broken?

Your Ally may not be broken but just not connected or running low on battery, if your Ally is not connecting to your phone please see the next FAQ. If this does not solve your problem or you have another issue and feel your Ally is broken please get in touch at: [email protected] to have the problem resolved or your button replaced. 

My Ally is not connecting with my phone?

Ally will automatically connect to any smartphone with the Companion App and bluetooth enabled, if your Ally is not connecting with your phone then please make sure your Companion App is activated and your bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.

What can I stick my Ally to?

Ally is extremely flexible and can be fixed to almost any surface using the adhesive strip, the button itself comes with a backing plate that allows you to attached the button to your keys. 

Alternatively you can attach the adhesive strip to Ally to adhere the button to almost any surface, this could include the rear of an ID card for a discreet SOS, under a desk wall, etc..

Is my Ally waterproof?

Yes, your Ally is both waterproof and dustproof to IP67. This means Ally can be dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep and stay submersed for half an hour.

How much does an Ally weigh?

Ally is extremely light weighing only 4g.

Should I test my Ally’s connection?

Yes, we would advise you do this regularly. It is simple to do, just double press to activate the SOS and dismiss the alarm on your Companion App.

How do I turn my Ally back on?

Depress the button on Ally and hold for a few seconds and the Ally will notify you through beeping that it is on.
